One of the leaders of the new school, Maleek Berry – currently enjoying the success of his 2016 EP #LDOS – has been touring the globe in 2017, with a major headline show billed for July 27 at Scala, London. He made his final stop on the 1st leg of his US Tour @ the Sounds from Africa and The Caribbean Stage at #SXSW2017.
After thrilling the crowd with performance of his hit songs, Maleek Berry kicked it backstage with the Notjustok TV crew for a quick chat. In this interview, the “Kontrol” singer talks about starting up the Starboy movement with Wizkid, being approached by international labels, the tour experience, and more. He also lets us know how the transition from being a producer to being a full-fledged artist has been.
