Hazard Wins Chelsea Player of the Year Award

Eden Hazard has been voted Chelsea Player of the Year for the 2016-17 Premier League campaign after his starring role in the Blues’ charge to the trophy.
Hazard, 26, bounced back to form in sensational fashion after a disastrous defence of his PFA Player of the Year award 12 months ago that saw Chelsea lose their title to Leicester City.
The Belgian playmaker scored 16 goals in 36 top-flight appearances for the Blues as Antonio Conte’s side won a record 30 games to be crowned champions.
Despite been pipped to win another PFA prize by team-mate N’Golo Kante, Hazard has rightly been rewarded for his efforts on  a massive campaign in west London.

He made it a double on the night by also scooping the Goal of the Season award for his stunning solo effort in a derby date with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Kante, meanwhile, did not entirely miss out as he won the Players’ Player of the Year award to cap what has been a sensational summer for the self-effacing star.
The France international, who became only the second player to win back-to-back Premier League titles with two different sides, was honoured by his colleagues for his superhuman contribution to the cause.
Chelsea missed out on a domestic double after going down to an inspired Arsenal in the FA Cup final, but will generally be pleased with their sixth league title and a return to the Champions League.
